James D. Hafley
James Hafley holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Louisville in Music Education and a Law Degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. Prior to becoming an associate with Musselwhite Meinhart & Staples he had extensive criminal law defense experience ranging from misdemeanor offenses to Class A felonies. He was an Assistant Public Advocate in Hardin County, Breckinridge County, Meade County, and Grayson County.
During law school Mr. Hafley was the recipient of numerous awards and held several offices including Vice-President of the Moot Court Board and Secretary of the Student Bar Association. Academic awards included recognition as a Greenbaum Fellow, Miller Scholar, Barbri Fellow, and other recognitions of academic excellence.
Mr. Hafley is married with two daughters. He is a lifelong resident of Kentucky who was born and raised in Marion County, Kentucky where his family still resides. He attended high school in Lebanon, Kentucky.
