2 suffer severe personal injury in head-on crash

According to a recent news article, two people in Kentucky were hospitalized following a head-on car crash. Both individuals are said to have suffered severe personal injury in the wreck. Police are still in the process of investigating this incident.

On Friday, Nov. 3, the driver of a small SUV was traveling westbound on U.S. 60 when she crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit a minivan in the eastbound lane. Two individuals were in the van -- a father and son, ages 75 and 52. Both men suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to the medical center at the University of Kentucky. Their current conditions are unknown.

The driver of the SUV -- a 39-year-old female -- also suffered injuries in the wreck, as did her dog. They are expected to recover. At this time, it is unclear what caused this individual to leave her lane of traffic. Law enforcement authorities are still looking into the matter. They have not indicated if any charges are expected in this case.

The personal injury suffered by the victims may leave them struggling physically, financially and emotionally for years to come. According to the state of Kentucky, these individuals may be entitled to seek compensation for their losses by filing civil claims against the woman believed responsible for the car crash. With the assistance of experienced legal counsel, the victims may take the steps to establish negligence against the driver. If this is successfully accomplished, the court may grant them monetary relief for any and all damages sustained.
